8/30/2010 - The dog days of August continue to churn out grim economic news. On the bright side, the month is mercifully nearing an end. On the dark side, it’s ending with a thud. Worse, things may not look much better in September, starting with the much-anticipated jobs report to be released on the first Friday of the month.  NCUSIF Guarantee Extended - 8/31/10 Update
The NCUA announced an extension of the NCUSIF guarantee through December 31, 2012. The previous guarantee period was set to expire on September 30, 2012. Further extensions of the NCUSIF guarantee by the NCUA may be made in the future. Click here for the NCUA Media Release.
